Since I bought my boat six years ago ive head the dreaded oil pool in the bilge. Ive replaced the main seal as well as vdrive gasket and still oil in the bilge. Recently ive noticed an oil accumulation/drip from the starboard valve cover. The oil accumulates in the bilge when the boat is parked. I would think that once the boat is shut off the oil drains back to the pan? Does oil sit up on top of the valves once the engine is off? Which in turn could leak out when parked?
I think I am going to replace the gaskets to see if the leak stops, I cant stand oil in my bilge!!!
