    NSS on 2005 226

Has anyone made a NSS-ish retrofit for the 2005 226 hull? I would be interested in knowing how well it worked.

I have not seen one on a 226 yet but it is on my to do list. I think it can be done but I'm a little concerned with the length available for the actuator.

Because of the cramped space under the platform, I thought a manual NSS would be the way to go. A cleaner look, less to install, and a manual NSS (IMO) would not be an inconvenience.

Really just adding the NSS hull plate. Alternatively, could add a Malibu surf-gate like device. It would not be a complete NSS system. But I understand the NSS calculates the added stress of the device. Clearly, a manual aftermarket hull device would not. I am concerned about the stress on the hull the device may cause, or taking off at full speed with the device deployed. Just thinking outloud now.

You can create the plates pretty easy or try buy a NSS system if you can for say a 210 or 230. I just added NSS to a 2009 230 finished it about a week ago. Haven't even had time to really get it dialed in yet. The hardest thing was the first couple if holes into transom [emoji16]. I had to raise the swim deck as well to clear the rams.

To control it you can use the lenco switch below. http://lencomarine.com/index.php/pro...tch-kit-single
