I'm looking at removing the carpet on the floor in my 99 Air Nautique and installing HydroTurf. I am planning on leaving the carpet on the sides and engine box.

Other thing to consider when gel coating the floor is that you will lose sound deadening of the engine. It also won't be perfectly smooth due to the texture of the fiberglass.
