I am wondering if there is a seal or gasket that is going bad or is bad on my 95 GT-40. Yesterday as I was going across the lake there seemed to be a lot of exhaust behind the boat. It was all white and seems to be an issue when the RPMs are over 3K. The oil does not look like it has any water in it. It also has a lot when I start out pulling up a boarder. Could this be that there is water leaking through a head gasket or through a manifold gasket? Any help is much appreciated.

White smoke is usually steam. It usually means water is boiling in the engine. Check your water strainer for cracks, is the o-ring on the strainer cup, is it clean of leaves and junk? Check your impeller. Usually white smoke is indicative of not enough water supplied to the engine. Black smoke is excess gas, and bluish tent is oil.
