    99 Air Nautique (Carb. engine)

So after 7 years of ownership we've started to have a little problem with our 99 Air Nautique. It's the carb. engine. It seems to run fine and can build speed up to about 35mph. But any time you do a sudden or try ad give it a "burst" of gas, it starts to studder and the RPM drops and slows down, almost like it wants to shutdown. Again this is only when you push the throttle down suddenly, kinda like what you would do when you are trying to pull a rider up.

Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

If you have owned this boat for 7 years and have not had to have the carb rebuilt, consider yourself fortunate and get a good mechanic to rebuild it. There are simply pieces that wear out over time in a Holly carb. After the rebuild it should run like a top.
The lake is calling and I must go.
