06 sv211te looking for real prop experience with weighted boat

I'm new to the site, great to see all the owner input. I'm looking for some prop feedback from others with same exact boat
    06 sv211 te
    factory ballast
additional ballast in both lockers, under bow cushions, in ski locker appx total of additional 1200 pounds before any people usually have 2-3 additional adults / kids no one over 185 lbs
    excalibur 330 hp
    central fl lake

current prop acme #644 right hand
main boat use is wake surf and wake board up to 23.5 mph

trying to upgrade prop to improve out of hole, quicker to plane and improve fuel

dealer says acme 1235 (up to 14")
    wakemakers.com says #856 or #1578 ( both are 13" like current)

forum is all over the place, I'm looking for experienced users with same boat similar use all feedback is greatly appreciated

    thank you

Scott- how much clearance do you have now between the tip of the prop and the hull?

just so you know, there aren't any mysterious properties associated only to your specific boat, motor and hull. All the boats perform roughly in proportion to each other.

    ok - 644 is a 13.25 x 16. That's a ski prop, fairly terrible for ballasted wake sports.

1235 is a LH prop. Your dealer needs to wake up.

be wary of what vendors recommend. Especially them. 13" prop???? Only if you have no clearance. You need to increase diameter and lower pitch.... Bigtime.

respond with how much room you have from the closest edge of the 644 to the hull.

Hole shot??? 14x12 to 15x12. This would snap your neck compared to what you are running now.

Ryan is right (didn't you just relocate?), be sure to check the clearance between your prop and hull. The prop you have now was the team prop on the sv 211 TE -- with a pitch of 16" it is a high end speed type not a hole shot spec.

Here is a resource for you

      http://www.wakemakers.com/nautique-w...oat-propellers

ACME prop model numbers ending in even numbers are RH, odd are LH (yours is a RH prop)

Ok very frustrating site, I'm not authorized to reply to the post I started wth? Any way thanks for replying. I have 13/8 to 1 1/2 inch clearance now. So going to a 14 should leave me 1" appx.

i get what you are saying on boat performance, I've had two malibus and a 06 xstar prior to this current boat. I took a several year hiatus from being a die hard boarder to chase motocross with my sons. When we had that very heavily weighted x star mastercraft came up with a "team" prop and when we put that on it made a amazing difference. Several years later and at the age of 45 we were not after that thigh high wake hardcore wakeboard boat again or the current price tags that come with them.
We found this sv211 that we are very happy with. Tied in extra ballast and some lead and it has a sweet wake when we do want to ride. We don't even own a ski only everything you ride standing sideways or laying down on a tube.

I should have started with "does any one have this boat, do what we do, changed the prop and to what and what do you have to say about it?"

yes the 644 sucks for us, it's fine cruising and pulling a tube and is ok for surfing but fill it up and aim for 23.5 mph and it takes a while to plane and perfect pass can never settle, had these same problems on the x star until changing props. That change was suggested by a team rider back then and I'm hoping to find some one here with experience on this model.

im aware of acme numbers and how they relate to rotation. Dealer and I discussed the 1235 before verifying my rotation so if this is the prop of choice I realize the 1234 is for my boat. I'm hoping to find someone here that has went with that one and hear what they say. I'm trying to avoid too many $600 ish experiments if at all possible

im trying to both replies here. Wakemakers are the ones suggesting to different options and both are still 13". This desparity from dealer to them is main reason I came to the forum hoping for some real world experience.

dont care to snap neck out of the hole just want it to get up on plane. I know to doesn't lack hp. If i can gain some fuel economy while boarding but don't start bouncing off the rev limiter when I want to go 35mph that's my goal

thanks again for the input look forward to more

No one should be reccomending any prop that leaves you with less than 1" clearance. So the 14.5" dia 1234 is out.

Acme 1616 all day long, based in how you say you use your boat. You'll still hit 40mph+ and a ton more tq for when you are sac'd out. And still leaves you 1" clearance to your hull.

Same boat as you with the 644. However, we do slalom on the glass every morning. I cannot change prop diameter, not because of hull clearance, but because I only have 1/2 inch clearance to prop guard on trailer. If I change, the 1464 had a lot of great reviews on here in the past years.

I had an 04 211 with the ZR6 and I believe I went to the 1464 from the 644 for surfing. You can check my threads and see.

                All great info. Thanks everyone

Agree 100% on the jump to 14.50 diam, that's too close for comfort and I keep it on a lift so putting on the trailer is a bit of a undertaking to measure but I'm certain my ramlin trailer is the same issue I've always hated how close that prop guard is to the ground, have dragged the ground several times in places you wouldn't think it would.

i need to wrap my brain around pitch and cup a little more for my own sake. From my current knowledge I like the sound of the 1616 and the 1464 also. 1464 is replaced now by 1578 which is what wakemakers suggest for heavily weighted option. Their credibility is appearing a little better than dealer. There pricing and free shipping is a better deal also

i may reach out to acme and get their input also. I'll keep posted what final decision is and definitely test results once we get changed

                thanks again

I have had 8 different props on my SV211 with EX330. The 1234 is your prop, it's the proven winner on this boat for the use pattern you describe. I still ski and barefoot so top speed is important to me. The 1234 was too slow on top (not by much though), the other issue was what it did to the ski wake at shorter line lengths. I am currently running the 644 and use an 856 as spare/altitude prop, but my use is different. There is plenty of clearance under a 211 for the 14.5" props.

Ski4ever, you can add spacers under the trailer bunks if you want to run the 14.5" prop. My propguard was easy enough to bend adding a 1/2" of clearance when I was running the 1234 so I didn't need to raise the bunks. I did however raise the bunks on my slalom boat because the tracking fins were hitting the trailer cross members. It was quite easy once I got into it. Did new carpet on the bunks too. All done in one evening after kids were put to bed.

After lots of consideration , a lengthy talk with extremely helpful people at acme, lots of time on the equally helpful forum and finally running into someone in the area with the same boat who did the same switch I was after I ordered up a 1234.
i know it's on here several times but just in case the 211 has a raised pocket and the 210 does not, 1234 can't be or at least shouldn't be used there. Plenty of clearance on the 211 at least my year any way which I saw on the other one first , I expect same when I get mine on.
Looking forward to test run soon and will report results.
                        thanks to all

Hijack. My 98SN trailer has adjustable bunks. When I bought the boat it didn't fit the trailer well and bounced a lot in addition to the fins hitting cross members. After adjustment the bunks now fit perfectly and it trails smooth.
