New owner of a 2006 SAN TE 220 in need of a couple of suggestions

Hi guys. I finally have a reason to be on this site! Just bought my first Nautique after years of bumming rides and riding behind the family's I/O.

I recently picked up a 2006 SAN TE 220. The boat is strong but needs a little cosmetic work.
We will likely replace most if not all of the skins in the interior. I have priced CC skins and unless our dealer comes back with some better pricing than what I have gotten so far, it looks like we may be looking to local upholstery shops. If you have a minute, look at the work shown on the below site and let me know what you think:
    https://www.facebook.com/sunstate.upholstery

Also, I am looking for rub rail. I checked TACO and I don't immediately see the chrome inserted rub rail that is on my boat. Any idea what you would pay someone for replacement rub rail installed (getting quotes now)?

Finally, I am missing the starboard vent assembly (where the blower vents out). If you have this vent assembly or know someone who does, I would be interested.
    Thanks in advance!

You can get the rub rail kit from nautique parts http://www.nautiqueparts.com/rubrail...ionsbelow.aspx make sure you use the site discount code for PN if you order.

I might be pickier than average on upholstery but looking at some of those examples the wrinkles in the curved panels would drive me nuts. I know they will probably relax some but they should have steamed and heated them if they were going to post them online as examples of worked. I guess it depends on what they are charging compared to new skins and what kind of materials they use and how picky you are, a couple of the pictures show lines that aren't real straight.

Thanks for the input. I tend to agree. I see some of the same things. They appear to be much more reasonably priced than others. I guess you get what you pay for. I was thinking of pointing out some of my concerns to see if they can pay close attention to those issues, but they may not want to hear about all the imperfections that I see in their work.

Welcome. I have the same boat that I picked up almost 2 years ago. And believe me, I've had plenty of little things I've had to fix
My blower was also messed up on the starboard side. I'll take a picture of how it is today because I can't quite remember how I fixed it.
I have all my upholstery done at a local upholstery place. I am attaching a picture of the label that they use. It matches 100% for my white interior.

I looked at it today - what was wrong on mine was the hose was destroyed and disconnected - basically venting into the compartment and not out.

There are two hoses, a small one that brings fresh air in and a large one that forces the bad air out (both hoses available at NautiqueParts.com - whatever length you think you need, add 2-3 more feet).

There is some sort of fiberglass junction box where hose exits the boat.

Email support@Natiqueparts.com and tell him what it is you need - if it's available, he'll find it.

Thanks for the input. So that is the white material for your interior? My boat is vapor blue. Would love to get a point of reference on that color if you happen to have it.

The hoses are there on mine, I am missing the vent/decorative piece on the exterior of the hull.

I can't help you on the blue because my interior is red and white. So far it's just my white that's needed replacing.

I'm in the process of completely restoring a 2007 SANTE 220. It's literally a bare hull in my driveway right now, and I am fixing all of the small scratches/gouges with Spectrum gel coat. I have basically replaced or completely restored every part in the boat.

I received an expensive quote for the skins from the dealer. You had to buy a few new seat cushions because CC changed the design and would not make skins for the old style. I took them to my local upholsterer and she is making/installing them for about 1/2 the price of skins from the factory (before install, which I would do myself if I had to). She does great work, but I can accept some minor imperfections for the price and knowing my young kids will be rubbing their cheeto-hands on them.

Also - if any of the parts have a separate serial number, Google it. Many parts can be bought straight from the manufacturer (not CC). I've saved a bit just doing that. No offense to CC, but it simply eliminates a middleman markup.

What a great resource! I'll pm you my contact info and maybe we can share info. If you are taking on that project, you are probably already more knowledgable than I am, but hey maybe I can bring something to the table.

Bad news guys!!! It's looking like my engine may be seized and will be in need of a long-block. I'm curious as to price. I have heard costs for a Jasper long block as low as $2000 all the way up to mid- $3k's. We will go ahead with risers and manifolds in the process which sounds like about another $1200 or so. So for you mathematicians out there, parts in the range of $3-4K without labor. I had a guy quote me $1,000 to do the rebuild, but I will have to pull motor myself and have old and new delivered to him. Any cost comparisons/experiences you have would be helpful.

This has now become my "project boat" thread:

Any suggestions on getting interior samples. I need the vapor blue, silver cloud and silver colors.
                      Many thanks!!!

7 months into the project and we are now on the verge of having the new motor, v-drive and rebuilt transmission put back in. Fingers crossed that we will be moving on to the interior next.

I am still in search of material samples for the interior. Need the vapor blue, silver cloud, and gray color (?). Does anyone know if Nautique will send color samples?

have you checked christines marine? I am not sure where you are, but they are in Orlando, so they may not be far away if you are in the Jax area. They are able to send you swatches of materials too.

As I understand it, Christines is licensed by Nautique / Correct Craft to reproduce the logos on the various skins. If you want the logos on your replacement skins you may have to use them exclusively. Call George and let him know what year and he will send you back samples (Emailed pictures also help). Once you figure out what you need you call him back and place your order. He will send you a confirmation via email for you to sign and return.

I ordered a set of rear seat cushions from them a couple of weeks back and waiting to receive them. At the time I ordered them (3/16) they indicated they were 4 weeks out.
