First time ever friday got the low voltage beep/light. Voltage showed 12.1 or 12.2 pre start. Just now was testing and found parasitic drain. 28 milliamp drain with battery on 2 (I only checked 2, not sure if matters, because it should not drain on 2 anyway). The drain is with 3 way switch in center position, which to me meant there should be 0 draw. I just replaced the 3 way switch last year so don't think it is that because it is new, and because when i move the switch up to "all on" or down to "bilge only" then I get change in amps used.
The drain does go to 0 when i pull the pictured ignition fuse. So this is where you all come in. Not sure if the .28 draw is normal or not maybe it is, and the low voltage was due to something else. One friend simply said don't worry about it. (Anyone know what their pre start voltage reading is? Obviously just press button til voltage shows before you hit the start button).
Oh, also i read about bad diodes in alternator causing drain, so i tested with alternator completely disconnected, so not that.
Thoughts? Things to test? Don't worry? Thanks!
