I hate towerlights and my kick pannel with a passion!

If you stick your head in the bow, you can see the light of the glass line that holds the cooler in.

After scouring the garage and shop for the perfect tool, I settled on the dremel with a tile cutting bit (used 2) took my time and cut away from inside the cooler. Got it out through the bow opening in one piece, and then sanded the inside cut edge smooth. There is pvc pipe with cable that is glassed to the deck, and I sanded all of that smooth as well. A putty knife worked really well on cleaning off the foam, and then layed the new carpet on the inside of the deck (wall?). Really happy with the space it opened up!

Have you checked inside of the lights to see if they could be shorted internally and if there is wires pinched between the mounting plate and tower it could cause a short. From what I remember of the titan lights the white wire I had was the ground and I had a green wire for power, and I used the bracket for the side pod to mount the relay to it.

Nms1991, could I crack open the lights to check? Or would that void the warranty?

I've got the lights at my house, but I guess that would mean both sets are shorted out, because it behaves the same no matter what set I use on either side...

sound like a couple of crossed wires and the lights should not be sealed because most manufactures do not warranty light bulbs as they really do not have a set life expectancy.

Dragon - did ya figure the problem out? While under my dash today I found a 3 wire harness crushed between a tower bolt and the tower plate under the dash. Two wires where bare. I fixed the wires before I checked to see if made the tower hot. Probably not the same problem as I think these wires - Yel/Blk/Grey go to the docking lights (which I don't know that I've used until today's fix). But ya never know and I figured this was a good place to park this issue.

I'm guessing I'm having the same problem, only, I have two wires (red/black) running up to the bow that are pinched between the deck and tower mount. Strange that dealerships don't seem to noticing this. I first noticed the wires two weekends ago and I'll hopefully have it fixed today or so. Honesly we're running out of things it could be, if its not this pinched wire then the only other thing that could be doing it is the tower 360 lamp. 99% shure its the two wires running under the foot...

Thanks for the heads up on the wiring, I definitely think that's the problem, and probably the first thing I should'ave checked for... DOH. Yellow_Flash_Colorz: Do I need to pick up some Loctite for the tower feet bolts? Or just torque them down nice and tight?

Nylon nuts are on the tower - no need for loctite. Let us know what ya find.

Your hunch was correct my friend, the wire was sqished like a pancake. The lights acctually work great, they really light up the trough of the wake...

Not sure how everyone else lines up their kick panel, but I tak just take paper clips, stretch them out straight, and poke them through the bolt holes. When they all go all the way in, I remove one and put in a screw. Repeat until finished. I also have a couple of extra holes in the fiberglass where it attaches.

Sweet 540! Glad ya found the problem. My whole project has been on hold due to the heat. Can't wait to get back to it, just too hot!
