    Gauges from 2007-2008 SAN210 in a 2004 SAN210? Will it work??

    Hey all,

Has anyone replaced all of the gauges on a 2004 - 2006 SAN210TE with the next newer model's (2007 - 2008)? I like the look of the newer gauges much more and would like to replace the ones (Including the perfect pass if possible. I know i would need to replace the supporting unit as well).

Is this possible without any serious wiring modifications? Are they the same size as the OEM 2004 Gauges?

    Any input greatly appreciated!

I replaced all my gauges and added a Star Gazer in my 2002 SANTE. Not sure about the years you are talking about but I will keep a eye on your post and help out where I can.

      Thanks Ron,

Did you use the OEM gateway to do so? Or did you have to replace the gateway with a newer version. Also, are the wires to the gauges all the same?

I contacted Mark at perfectpass and they said that the newer modules and gauge is compatible with the hardware (speed sensor and servo) of the older boats. I'm assuming that if i wanted GPS, I would just add the GPS module.

Yes, you can replace your gauges with the 2007-2008 gauges with out any mods. Use your existing gateway box and just unplug the log gauges and install the new ones (same plug). I have replaced my water and oil gauges so far but nautiqueparts says that all gauges can be changed to the new style.

I emailed nautiqueparts about it and he spoke to Nautique (who spoke with PCM) and they said that the new gauges aren't compatible. Does anyone have experience doing this with all their gauges?

First226 - you have the same excalibur 330 and gateway as the 04 210?

On a Side note, perfectpass emailed me back and said that all of the components on the 2004 san210 support the newer speed controls (star gazer) , with the addition of the gps module. All is plug and play.

Okay, so here's the scoop for future researchers!

First226 - you were correct. Jason Clark from Faria Gauges helped me out on this one. All gauges from 2004 to 2010 operate on the same Faria Buss data and can be interchanged. The Gateway, however, can't be interchanged between the two as the 2007 - up engine communication systems use different language (2004 used MEFI ECM and 2007 - 2010 uses CAN ECM language).

Looks like I will be upgrading to the newer gauges and perfectpass!

Here's the new look! Minus the perfect pass, will be upgrading that too!

FYI: Did all my gauges and Star Gazer in my 2002 SANTE. Plug and play into new Star Gazer module. Faria gauges were post terminals so I made up new connectors using DEUTSCH connectors. Go here for your wire and connector needs.

So far, all of these have been plug and play for my 04. Haven't purchased the star gazer yet but I've been told that's plug and play as well

I got all of my items from nautiqueparts.com. Here's all the item numbers:

                            Oil Pressure: 90027
                            Engine Temp: 90029
                            Voltometer: 90030
                            Fuel Gauge: 90028
                            Speedometer: 90025

                            Tachometer: 90024

Keep in mind that all of these illuminate BLUE, so I also purchased a matching blue illuminated keypad: 100002

I plan on upgrading to the Star Gazer Perfect Pass, and all of the ballast gauges as well, so I'll update once I do that too.

I also purchased the gauge cluster where all of the gauges mount into: 70077. This proved to be a pain in the neck though, you have to cut out (with a dremel) the hole for the perfect pass, and then you have to use your old cluster to mark where the metal mounts go (The metal mounts that allow it to mount into the dash) and glue them. I used the 3M 5200 to glue them, I tried two different epoxy glues (multiple times too) and they didn't work. So far, the 5200 works the best for gluing those so far because dries with some flexibility. Worth it now that it's done though it looks much better than the old one.

Be sure to take a picture of the back of the gauges before you unhook all of the plugs just to make sure you don't get them mixed up! I over-did it and taped and labeled because I had them out for a few months.
