    G23 LPG Conversion

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has experience in engine conversion to LPG. The European gas prices are not so friendly

I would be happy for any input you guys could give.

    Thanks,

Don't wish to be mean-spirited here, but you bought a boat costing at or above $100,000US and you can't afford the cost of fuel? You may want to rethink your priorities.

Also, not sure where you would put a LPG tank in a G23.

There is a member in the Netherlands (Laptom) running a 230 with a ZR6 on propane. You may want to PM him for information on the pros / cons of the conversion as well as his experience.

Midlands Nautique in the UK have converted many G's to run on lpg, give them a shout. If your not in the UK I'm sure they could recommend someone to you!

While I can not give any tips, with modern ECMs, it should be relatively easy. I know it is commonly done in Europe. The biggest complaint LPG users post is the decreased power compared to gasoline. You may need to reprop your boat.

My 01 210 runs on both Lpg and gasoline which my local dealer converted for me and there is no noticeable power loss between the 2 and I still run the original prop. The system on mine is an impco system which just regulates the Lpg straight into the carb. I know Midlands nautique fit Prins Lpg systems to the G boats which I believe is an injection system. I havn't heard of any of those boats having to be 're propped.
