Found a new 211 teak platform at Buxton's garage sale. With a little modification it will fit my G23. The question is do I do it or sell it to someone with a 211? Give me your opinion.
2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop
2010 SANTE 230 343 (280hrs)
pre 2010 - various open bow boats and jet skis
As much as I love teak over composite platforms, honestly I think your boat would look a bit odd with the teak. IF you had the teak colored Seadek I think it would "look" better.
It's really surprising a 211 platform is almost the same size as a G. I just think of everything on those boats as over-sized.
I wonder how close that platform is to a Legacy 210. I would love to get rid of the cutouts in my platform for the lifting rings.
I would do it in a second... keep the old deck and you can swap it back in if you ever feel the need. I much prefer the teak decks over fiberglass, its one of the things that I like best about my boat and made me pull the trigger on it and keep me from more seriously considering a new boat. If I ever get a G I would be looking for a teak platform and that one doesn't look bad in my opinion. If it was just a hair wider it would look better but its definitely out of the way of the wake. If you already have it give it a shot and see what you think.

I would give it a try like jonsquatch said, if you do not like it switch back, I have had a teak platform on every boat i have owned except for the G, I tried for the first year to get one but nobody would touch it, had one teak dealer in fla, that wanted me to send a temp plate and he would make it but I decided not.. I was the customer, they needed to go out and get the template... also they wanted too much and for me to some of the work plus the risk of doing it wrong,,

I saw it sitting there at the garage sale and I like what you are doing with it.
I picked up a few ronix wakeboards for $15 each to make a bench at the lake and some various other goodies. They had a bunch of bimini tops but all of them were wayyy wide for my FCT2.
How do you guys hear about this garage sale at Buxton? Is it a weekend deal or do they have a section at the shop with this stuff in it?
I liked them on facebook and they were pimping it on there... I left with a truckbed full of stuff to clutter up my garage for less than $200. Plus a little BBQ in my belly.
Core-rider...I found one from a 216 that I put on my 1999 minus the notches for the lifting rings. I cut the sides down, but the curve matched up well with my boat. The website from where I purchased it has one more for $300 if you have any interest.

Thanks scarbs, but I've got more important items on the list before that.
It was a nice weekend so I finally did the install. I raised the platform 1 1/2" with composite decking to help keep the teak out of the water when surfing. Also bought new brackets so I could switch decks as I wanted. The new brackets had smaller locking pin holes, so I had to drill them out. Next will be to change the SeaDek color.
