409 or 450 in a bubble butt?

Anyone drop one of these into a 97-03? (i think thats the end of the model run) I've spoken with a couple dealers and PCM. They say no problem....for a price.

Any real world feedback? Anyone done this? Thanks.

There are some python 502's out there in the TSC 1 hull, from the factory. Incredible power for that boat. The nice thing about a 409 or 450 is the ability to install ZO.

The other beautie is the overall weight. The 502's were noticiby heavier than the gt40. It was noticeable in the course. However the 409 and 450 are a few hundred pounds lighter Than the gt40. Is due to many alumn parts in those buggers. So quite a bit lighter and a bunch more power.

Yes as jeff mentions, the lost art of waterskiing. Hard to believe some of us are still out there.

I was installed ex330 with 383ci to 2002 ski nautique from GT-40.
It was no problem.

I think that 409 have no problem.
I don't know what cannot you believe.

Isn't the 6 liter even lighter than the Excal? It would make great powerplant in a bubble.

Depending on the region of the country, skiing is making a big comeback with the young generation

Believe so. The big ones are using aluminum heads and some other lighter weight materials where possible.
