A Beam fell on my 2002 SAN

So I have been a long time lurker on this site and have found many useful articles. So thank you all! I am posting hoping someone knows if any of the new FCT that are on the new 210,230,g21.... Would fit on the 2002 SAN. I know the beams are different but just wondering if anyone has attempted this. My boat is going to be covered by insurance as a tornado was the culprit who dropped a beam on my tower and caused the damage so if I can upgrade and pay extra to get something easier to fold down and that does not rattle as bad I would be stoked. Anyway here are some pics incase anyone is wondering.

I think this thread will answer most of your questions. Not an easy retrofit, but it can be done.

Thanks, not sure how I missed that thread. My search feature must be broken :-)

Ouch, but could have been worse...looks like the tower took most of it? Any stress cracks in the gel where the tower legs meet the deck?

fortunately from what I can tell no. I was shocked based on the size of the beam and the damage to the tower that there were none. The window frame is bent pretty bad also but the glass did not even break. All and all it came out about as good as it could have.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I am the fellow that did the FCT3 retrofit. I have the old tower and will sell it if you can figure out how to get it from Montreal to Oregon. Probably cheaper to get a new section TIG welded but let me know if you want a 2002 FCT1
