I have a '05 SV211 with 35hrs. on it and I need to change the oil ! I had a Sport Nautique before and it had a remote line on it. I can't find any lines ? Should I go througth the dipstick ?? Help....................

Take off the engine cover, if you have an Excalibur, there should be a hose that is clipped on to a bracket on the port side of the motor, it should have a plug in the end of it just like your Sport Nautique. This is how it is on my '05 210, and going on the assumption that all Excalibur's are created equal, I would think that it would be in a similar location.How about \"Chales\"?

Dragon is correct.. I have an '05 SV211.. However, the marina told me that they had moved it to be more easily spotted by clipping it to a bracket near the fuel filter on the Starboard side of the engine. The also told me that they suggest an oil pump instead because CC did not make the hose long enough to easily route to the drain hole in the bottom of the boat. I haven't had to change oil yet, so I can't speak from experience... YET! My times coming and any feedback on this is certainly welcome!2005 SV211

o.k. Dragon..............I see what you mean. Thanks for th' pixs. I'll try that next time at the lake. Now my next question. Do you know what oil filter size to buy at an auto parts(Autozone). I went to the local boat store and they do not have a PCM crossover book. I'm way off the water so I don't want to take it off and run it over there just to see if they can match it up. An AC-Delco PF-2 oil filter is another equivalent that can be used. I recently changed my oil and filter after my first 25 hours.Comment

Yeah, they're Ford stock filters. I re-routed my oil drain line and hooked it to the side of the V-drive near the drain plug. Now oil changes are super easy, just warm up the motor, slip the oil drain line through the drain hole, pop the cap and let it drain into a pan below the boat, change the filter while it's draining. I use an old tube sock over the filter to soak up any oil I spill out of the filter (it's going to be full of warm oil), replace with a Pleasurecraft R077001, Wix 51515, or Sierra 18-7875. I found the Wix at the local autoparts store, Napa can cross reference the Wix.
Whole process takes about 20 minutes, I use a vacuum pump for the V-drive and tranny.Comment
