Prop dimensions on 01 SAN

Anyone know what size prop an 01 SAN would've come with? Mine says it's an OJ Legend 12-2000 but couldn't find dimensions on it. From what I could find it appears it might be a 13x16, but I'm not sure.

I was investigating the possibility of upgrading to one of the ACME props for better holeshot, maybe the ACME 856?

I have an 01 SAN. Holding the original prop in my hand.
It says OJ 14 X 18, 1 1/8 shaft.

When I dinged the original, it was replaced by an Acme. Don't
know the size, but they used whatever came stock on an 02 SAN.

I remember because my new 211 sport had the same prop, unfortunatly the Excalibur 330 doesn't turn it as well as the GT-40. Wakejunky's 2003 SAN with the Excalibur runs the Acme 536, 13.5 x 16. I switched my 211SE prop to the 211TE prop, Acme 644, 13.25 x 16. The 644 is the best running prop for my boat.

I might suggest you run the 611? If you buy it from www.boarditup.com they will swap it if you are not happy. Did you read Luke's prop review, in the review's section? Keep in mind that the 856 will probably let the motor overrev.

where are you? If you are local I have a prop that you could try, it's my 380 that has been repitched with a progressive pitch from 15.5 to 17.5, it's still too much prop for my Excalibur 311 but it might work with a GT-40? I am in the Delta/Bay Area/San Francisco

I have the 536 (13.5 x 16) that came stock with my '02 SANTE with the excalibur engine. Stock it would over rev, so I am sure the GT-40 would also allow it to over rev.

I recently had it rewored to bring it back to stock specs, except I had them add a little extra cup. I think most of the new cup is on the tips of the blades. Before i could spin the engine over 5300 RPM, now I top out at 5050 rpm.

With the GT-40 being so strong on thye bottom end, you should be able to get away with the 536 easy, just watch the revs on the top end.

Also what are the specs on the 611? I know the 612 is a 3 blade 12.5 x 15.25 (1" shaft)

Please disregard the 611 comment, I get the 644 confused with 611 since my boat is a 211...

With that said I would say that the 644 (not 611) might not be enough prop for the GT-40, it might even cavitate if you nail it. If you always have your boat heavily weighted then the 536 might be a good choice if not then you might want to stick with the 380. When I pulled my wife up with bkhallpass's unloaded SAN she complained that I jerked her out of the water, I had forgotten how strong the bottom end of the GT-40 is when I applied the throttle. On the other end of the spectrum my nephew just returned from college and pulled me behind the 211 for the first time last weekend. He drug me through the water because he was used to driving my SN/GT-40 and didn't realize that he needed to apply so much throttle with the new boat.
