I need a new prop after an encounter with a submerged log this weekend. I am open to suggestions. I was really satisfied with the performance of the original OJ Legend 4 blade that came stock on my 99 ski nautique with the GT40.

I just got the Acme 422, which is the standard recommendation from Acme for the GT40.
There is much debate about 3 vs. 4 blade.
I think much depends on your weighting...i.e. heavy = 4 blade, stock = 3 blade., although since you are prolly skiing (SN) more than boarding, you may benefit from the 3 blade. (Karl DeLoof, jump in here!)
If you go 3 blade, post your findings!

My boat is never weighted, so that is not an issue. We are slalom skiers, with an ocasional tuber, or boarder. I am curious about switching to a 3 blade and how it may affect my wake size or hardness.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower
