Tower Bimini Bracket - Does this look right?

My question is whether or not the bracet and brace that provide support for the rear of a Bimini Tower is supposed to look like the attached pictures. I'm wondering if I need to adjust the location of the connections to the tower so that the black plastic bracket is not under so much load.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Mine has some load, but certainly nothing as severe as
you've depicted. I would think some of that twisting
    could be adjusted out.

Mine needed adjusted too. There's a screw at the end of the connector that will allow the piece to swivel and eliminate the bending of the other 2 pieces.

I don't know why towerbimini doesn't install the set screw on their bimini arms? They just install pop rivets on either side of that clamp instead of simply installing the set screw, once my bimini was up I installed the set-screws. Obviously the set screw is needed to prevent the twisting of the clamp.

Brian, I have some extra set screws if you want them for your boat.

Will any kind of appropriately sized screw work or does it need to be a true "set" screw.

            Thanks

After the set screws stripped on my old bimini I just drilled through the tower bow and installed a counter sunk stainless steel 8-32 x 1/2" machine screw. I believe the set screws are either 3/16 or 1/4" stainless steel, they have them at West Marine, West even has the bimini hardware so you can verify the size before you buy.
