hesatation on accerleration when first getting on the water

when i first put in the past two times out the engine will cut out once at like 2500 rpms and then pic right back up it is like you turn the key off and on super quick then after it does that a couple of times it is fine. any suggestions?

Are you letting the engine warm up before acceleration?If not, try letting the engine reach operating temp. before acceleration.

yes i let it warm up but it did it yesterday after we had been on the lake for a while but if i full throttle across the lake for a minute it seems to help i am thinking it may be a fuel filter.
