Has anybody ran across those devices that stick up from your trailer hitch and your truck "ball" that helps one person guide themself so that the truck "ball" meets the trailer hitch without damaging your bumper? I can describe it as two rods with magnets on one end - the rods stick up far enough in back so you can see them from the drivers seat. When both rods meet you are on the mark...It's engenious! Where can i find them?

RE: Do it by yourself trailer hook-up
my youngest boy (10) does the best also....wife and oldest son seem to start talking to the hitch and trailer at some point. I don't know how many times I've had to say...."look at me" or "talk to me"....
Sorry...we seem to have distracted this thread.88 Ski Nautique

RE: Do it by yourself trailer hook-up
I like the OneShot mirror best. You attach it to the trailer and have two mirrors, one to approach and finally, one to position the hitch ball right above and in line with the coupler. You don't need to get out of your truck to install the magnetic posts and don't need of anyone to tell you where to go. Easy one person operation, works all the time.

JoeCos, the one you show is similar. Attached you will find the one I am talking about. I bought mine at Bart's but I have not seen them anymore. I've heard they company that made this item stopped making them.
The round mirror is used for the approach while the rectangular mirror is used to drive the hitch ball below the coupler.
