    Bee Pollen stains

Has anyone had problems with bee pollen staining their upholstery. I just got my semi-new Air-206 (bought it with 11 hours) the next day I had five areas where the seats were nailed with bee pollen. You wipe / scape it off and it leaves a yellow stain. Does anyone know how to get it off?

    Thanks

    RE: Bee Pollen stains

The only way I have found to get the small yellow stains out is to leave it in the sun for them to naturally bleach out.

Sometimes using some toothpaste, not gel, and a toothbrush will work. Sometimes not!! Good luck. Mike

I agree with the sun method but if you must (like I would) try using a soft scrub brush and Tough Stuff All Purpose cleaner available at most auto parts stores. If the stain still persists most marine supply stores and mailorder houses sell mold and stain removers for vinyl like Mary-Kate or Starbrite. I've used them for years removing mold without any ill effects to the vinyl. The vinyl on my 15 year old CC still looks brand new. You may have to make several applications and let each one sit for several minutes. Make sure you wash the the vinyl off thoroughly and apply 303 Protectant after.

Thanks for allof the excceelent feedback! I have tried of course soap and water, clorox bleach pen, X14 Oxy Citrus, Simple Green, Mr. Clean eraser and even WD40. After all of that it seemed that the WD40 took alot of it off and the sun bleaching that ag4ever recomended did the trick. When I took it out last Friday three of the five stains were gone...

Wow I love this forum...As a neophyte to this site I have found and received some excellent information. It's also really cool to see there are many others that are as crazy about their Nautiques as I am. I had my "restored" 81 for two seasons then found the deal of a life time on a nearly new Air 206...(81' in the person album but the 206 file was too big.) I posted the 206 under the money shot area.

I refer to it as a Nautique attack. And NO, you can never go back! Glad it worked out for ya! Mike
