I found a place. Lauterdale Speedometer, that seemed to have given me a fair quote. I think it was $143 for the in-hull transducer and $8-10 less for the through-hull.

For you guys who have the Faria, are you using the through-hull transducer or the in-hull transducer?

I'm in for the group buy.

I don't want another hole in my boat though. The transducer works great for depth when it reads though the hull. IMHO you don't need to put a hole in your boat unless you are trying to spot fish.

I paid $130 + shipping + special order fee for mine from Boaters Outlet, took about 2 weeks. It was the white/chrome gauge matching the new Faria gauges. Note the backlight is red and the lettering font is slightly different so it's not a perfect match but extremely close. In any case it works very well and looks very nice in place of my voltmeter.

Here is a copy of their reply to my inquiry leading before my purchase:

Thank you for your inquiry. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. We can get the part #13851 depth finder. The cost would be $129.99. Faria does have a minimum order, which this would not meet, so there would also be a $10.00 surcharge, plus $14.99 shipping. If you would be willing to wait, we can add it to a stocking order which would save you the $10.00 surcharge. The wait may be 4-6 weeks, however. I do have the depth finder with the transom mount transducer on order which should be arriving in the next week or so. The price is the same, $129.99. If you have any other questions, let me know. I notice that the Hummingbird HDR600 is a 2 1/8" gauge. The Faria gauge is a 2". Are there any issues replacing the Hummingbird gauge with the Faria gauge due to a difference in size?

Forget a group buy, how about a group bombardment of upset customers to Correct Craft. It seems wrong that so many of us have this issue with our depth gauges and once again Correct Craft won't back up there product. It's the exact same issue with the teleflex speed/tach gauges.

I have the faulty/craptastic/failed Hummingbird depth finder and need to replace it. Was there ever a determination about what was "the one" to get.
