Engine shut off in double up

Yesterday I was pulling a rider thru a double up and as we crossed our wakes the boat shut down, is there a safety shut off or do I have a loose wire or somethig? It was fine after that I just punched in the code again
and it was fine. The rider was a little confused tho!
I have an '02 sante gt-40.

Check your tether switch and make sure it wasn't bumped.

Yep that was my first thought also, but it was ok. Maybe it has a short.
It doesn't do it all the time just when it hits the rollers pretty hard so I usually just back down a bit and it doesn't do it. I wasn't sure if it had some other safety on it? But thanks for your input..

What engine is in it? Do you have any indicators showing up in the display of yoru guage?

It's the GT-40, no there were no and are no indicator lights lit. It runs great till you hit a hard double up then it's like someone pulls the plug outta the wall, then i have to punch in the code and then good to go, it's weird.

Sounds like a short to me. Maybe check the all on / all off/ bilge switch thingie too. Seems to me if you have to punch in the code all over again, the entire electrical system is turning off.

yep I will have to look at the connections, thats all i can think of. thanks for the input...

My money is on the "on / all off / bilge" switch. I have actually flipped it off with my toe and not realized it till like a min later while I am thinking "what the ****."

Yes it was the Bilge switch! I replaced the switch and put on gold connectors and fixed the problem. Thanks for your help
