FCT bolt stripping out?

I have a FCT on my 94 Sport Nautique. One of the bolts used to connect the tower together when folding it up appears to have stripped out. This is one of the two bolts that have the knob connected to them. Has this ever happened to anyone ??

Trying to figure out how to get it fixed. Can I even get that knob assembly off easily?

Knob comes off easily. There is a retaining ring that holds the assembly together. Remove it and threaded handle will slide out.

if threads on top 1/2 are the problem, u can buy a helicoil (sp?). think it's a kit.

Mine stripped when a couple months old. The dealer installed the helicoils, and it has been fine ever since.
