    Correct Craft Cruise Problem

I own a 1999 SN with Correct Craft Cruise(Perfect Pass Cruise.) I've had this option since new and this summer ski season I have a problem with the system. If you are cruising around, with the system off, and blow the horn, the red LED light comes on. Subsequently, when you are cruising with the system engaged, and blow the horn, the cruise system shuts off. Depending on the throttle position, the boat can reach higher speeds than anticipated. Has anyone experienced this problem? Maybe the easiest fix would be, not to blow the horn anymore. Also, speaking of horns, how do you adjust these horns or better yet replace them? :???: They seem to be in an inaccessable area. :o Your thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    RE: Correct Craft Cruise Problem

The horn is drawing too much current and lowering the system voltage which causes PP to go into trouble mode. Replace the horn or fix the grounding. My $.02.

Thanks for your quick reply. I thought the current may be the problem. The battery in the boat is the original, which put's it in the 7th year. Maybe the battery is getting weak. What ground are you talking about? I did clean the battery post's. Thanks for your help.

        PP resetting

Also had the same problem initially as I was connecting the purple "ignition" wire on the PP (actually the PP power connection) to the ignition post on the tach. Turns out that this is daisy chained between all the guages thru what looks like a 16g wire which is fine as long as you're not pulling significant currents (PP does pull some juice...). Pulled a separate wire from the switched post on the ignition (12g) and no more problems...
