    Ballast Sending Units

Does anyone have a source for new ballast sending units. I have a '99 Super Sport with the factory ballast tanks, and both sending units are bad. SECC wants $160 per ballast sender, I have check both gauges (by disconnecting and grounding the sender wire) and they seem to be working. They say the senders are 10-240ohm, which is the same as early ford fuel senders. I didnt know if anyone has found an alternative to the expensive senders. I cant see any manufactures name on either sender. Thanks for the help, Newbee  Nautique Owner

It looks like we can buy them online at $40 each, Sounds like it might be worth a shot. I will let you know what I find out.

Did you guys try out one of these? Did it work and which model did you order. I've got one sender that is bad and I need to replace it. I'd love to have the parts ready when I take apart the boat so I don't have to miss time on the water!

Yep, mine are in and working great. I dont recall what model they were, they are sold by the length. I believe they ar 6"-8" in length. Now I found out how bad my valves really are. They let in quite a bit of water even when they are closed. Does anyone have a fix for them?
