    torque riser/manifold

Ok,I'm going to put back a new riser and manifold to my GT-40 engine due to water leaking, But I'm not sure the torque to tight the riser and manifold, I'll appreciate if any body can tell me.

Just get it tight. I'd think 60ft/lbs would be plenty. Make sure there's a gasket in there.

That is way too tight. Neither place should have more than 24LB. Use a torque wrench- don't guess it. Use tons of anti size on all the bolts also. use a criss-cross tightening pattern on the riser. Tighten from the inside ports to the outside ports on the manifold gasket.

Thanks all for the tips, I install toady, brought min.40NEWTON torque wrench, seems too strong, can't use it, I tight it by hand. should get a more small torque wrench for this job.

The bolts on my risers didn't have enough clearence to get anything on them either. Well, anything compatible with a torque wrench. I just had to use an open ended wrench taking little tiny turns at a time.

          Good job!
