RE: how to convert my boat

I read some of you guys are donating your 'gas' money to support the Katrina recovery effort, well done, my thoughts are with the victims and their families.
I also read on one thread that your gas is up to $6.00 per gal, sorry but here in the UK it is up to £1.00 per litre, with the current exchange rate of $1.75 plus, that makes our gallon around $8.75 and rising, Ouch!!!
My 196 runs on LPG thank goodness, the 4X4 unofrtunately does not, so it costs me £40.00 a round trip to the lake and back, twice a weekend.
I am either going to cut down the trips or taking the wifes runabout............looks like the wifes runaround then, no style but a lot cheaper.

        Gas Kit

Sorry don't know where you can get a gas conversion in the USA but i would think carefully before doing this although it mabe cheaper the engine tends to run very dry and this can have its consequences i think now on new engines a conversion can be obtained that has an integral oil drip to keep the engine properly lubricated.

If its v.cold you can get a freezingproblem if i had a choice i'd keep the petrol and have a gas system that can cater for running on both LPG and petrol. You then have the best of both worlds and i believe its better for the engine
