    RE: why water out there

If you have a dripless packing seal, some of them have a water hose going to the seal to cool it.

where do you have your water hooked up to? It could be the dripless packing but I would still like to know where you have your water hooked up to.

The hose is attach to the fresh water flush inlet, after use in sea,we wash the engine this way every time(the engine is runing while cleaning), so the water go out frome exhaust also flow out as the picture.

If you are not introducing water into the bilge, then the water is coming from the hose attached to the dripless packing gland. If you had normal wax packing and you were flowing this much water, you would be taking on huge amounts of water when you used the boat.

Also, where is the raw water inlet grate?

I beleive this is normal. You are flushng with fresh water and the packing is one place you would want to flush. Is there water flowing into the bilge? I would guess there is not. If that s the case this is normal.

Thanks all post, the issue I notice long time, don't feel any problem, the huge amount water go out along the shaft nervous me ,the water don't go in from it,I'll further see in side to find the source of water.

Normal (I guess) for dripless, water cooled (via raw water pump) packing. Not normal for old school flax packing.

Richard: If water does not come into the boat, why are you concerned? Are there other problems with the stuffing box?
