PCM motor ID/size

Hello, are there anybody who can tell me the "codes" for identification of
a PCM motor in a correct craft boat 1994-1996. I have found it for new
motors.

the motor ID I want to know about (especially how many horsepowers)

correct craft 1994 motor ID= PLD PR R12PT
correct craft 1996 motor ID= PLP PR R12PP
I think that "Horsepower" is the third digit

D=240 HP
P=285 HP

???????
I am also very interested in a motor manual for correct craft 1996

what you gave were model numbers to the engines. Is there a cover on the top of the motor? If it says GT-40 on it, it is a 310 hp motor. I am not sure if there is a specific code in that model number to dictate horsepower. Give me a little more info and I am sure I can get it figured out for you!

It is not a 310 gt 40. The GT 40 is easy to recognize because of the EFI
In 1994-1996 PCM made 4-4 diff motor sizes from 190-310 hp.

Ooops... It looks like when I merged the threads, I also fried the pictures. Sorry about that. The engine looks (or looked, since the picture is gone) like a standard 351, Non-GT-40, Non-Pro-Tec, Non FI, etc.

I am pretty sure your second number is the gt 40 number. Is the distributor in the front or back of the engine? It may have said it in one of your posts but I can't remember, do you know if it is carburated, TBI or EFI? There weren't too many different motors so it shouldn't be hard to get it figured out.

I send 2 pictures, one of the motor and one from a manual. It is a model with carburator.

My problem is that the people who want to sell their boat put a "lot of extra horsepower" in their boats.............................and I want a boat for waterskiing,wakeboard and ALSO the possibility to go barefoot, and a 240 hp motor will be to small...( the motor on the picture should be 285 hp)

both of those are 285 horsepower. Hope that helps
