RE: Which oil filter
The current Mercury Marine oil filter part numbers are either 35-802886Q (Quicksilver packaging) or 35-802886T (Mercury Marine packaging)
Obviously, both are just relabelled filters from whomever won the supplier & packaging bidding to Mercury Marine, but I'm certain they are not just an 'el cheapo' crap filter since Mercury Marine bases their billion dollar marine engine industry on the quality of these oil filters...
