I have a 1999 Ski Nautique that is in need of a new prop. The original prop was an OJ Legend, 13 X 16. Now Correct Craft tells me that they are using the #422 Acme prop on their new Ski Nautiques and suggested this as a replacement prop for all other Ski's. However, others have told me that the new OJ XMP is the real deal. Does anyone have any experience with these two props on a Ski Nautique? Your thought and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

RE: Replacement Props
I put a 3-blade acme on my '94 before I traded it in. I'm not sure of the model number, but it was very smooth, and was a good improvement over the stock OJ.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I replaced my stock oj 4 blade legend with a new acme 422 machined prop. The props seemed to me to be almost identical in perfomance and wake size and shape. THe OJ legend seems to be more robust then the CNC'ed props. I have allready dinged up my Acme on a submerged log, and am sending it off to be reconditioned. It has a nice vibration to it now. The old oj is nice and smooth after being reconditioned. To many logs on the TVA lakes.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower

I have a '99 Ski Nautique and needed to replace the original OJ. After much discussion with various people / dealer I decided to go for the Acme 422. This is silky smooth and overall I am very pleased with the performance. I notice a slight performance increase out of the hole which is welcome as I am running on LPG which gives a slight power loss from the standard 290HP on petrol.
Delta prop were quite helpful and the extra coupon discount helps especially as I had to pay $70 shipping to the UK.
One thing I did notice that required attention with the 422 fitted was the handling at the P turn at each end of the slalom course. The boat did not want to staighten up very easily and this was cured by adjusting the tunable rudder towards the starboard side of neutral. I can only assume this was due to a different cup profile on the 422 blades over the original OJ.
Anyone else experienced this??
You will no doubt also need to re calibrate each PP baseline. Mine needed between 80-90 RPM difference at slalom speeds.2010 Ski Nautique 200 Team Edition Open Bow, Radar Strada
