    Heater hose connection for winterizing?

My season just took an unfortunate turn (torn ACL) so I'll probably be winterizing in the next week or so. I installed a heater last spring and when winterizing last year I noticed it's crazy inconvenient to disconnect the heater hoses from the engine. I eventually had to just cut the hoses off the barbed fittings.

Has anyone installed something/anything to make this chore easier? Quick releases, or brass connection pieces of some sort? I might hit the hardware store today to see if I can find something that might work, but thought I'd check to see if someone has already addressed the issue.
