Does anyone have any recommendations for winterizing ballast tanks on a SV211?

I am looking for members' tricks for conveniently getting the antifreeze into the tanks so that I can pass it thru the pumps.

Could you just pour it into the tank vent?? I would expect that it would go through the fill pumps via gravity with the valves open. Empty tanks to do drain pumps??

Perhaps I am over-simplifying??
