99 DD owners, does your boat have a seacock for raw h20 int?

Could someone with a 99 DD boat tell me if their boat came with a "seacock" (ball shutoff valve) for the raw water intake? It looks like my boat, 99 Pro air, would not have room for one, as the transmission is very close to the hull opening for the raw water intake. I could use a 90 degree or a 45 to get some room away from the tranny, any suggestions welcomed.

    thanks,
    Jack

No, the '99 did not have a seacock. The 45 could be angled away from parts; possibly check any '04 or 05 216s @ your local dealer of lake. ER

My '99 has one. It's located infront of the motor port side. What is it used for??

        Dude,
the one on the port side is for the ballast system. Your boat is an air or sport with ballast, right? On my boat, the seacock is attached to a 90 degree (actually, it's a 90 vert, and a another 90 but horizontal) and is then plumbed into the ballast pump.
