I don't have access to a lift that I could use to lift my boat off the trailer to clean and wax where my boat sits on the trailer bunks. I'm just curious if any of you has any creative ideas for solving this problem. Thanks.

RE: Waxing "under" Bunks
I don't. Used to worry about that myself. Than I wondered, who is ever going to
see it. When it sits on the trailer, can't see it. When it sits on the lift, can't see it.
when it sits on my lift, can't see it. So, who is ever going to see it. If I happen to
have a buyer that wants to use a crane to lift the boat, I'm not selling it to him
anyway. I just wax the bottom as best I can about once or twice a year and don't
worrry about it.

RE: Waxing "under" Bunks
I was wondering that too, I only get to do the sides, just where the trailer fenders aren't covering. I tried going under once, but then dealing w/ the not-so-flat surface got annoying...
Does anybody wax their deck, above the rubrail? It's a place everyone sees the most, is around the most, but I can't imagine getting a buffer on it, or doing it all by hand w/ all those curves... (sry for the hijak)I Nautique, therefore I am.

If you wax the area of the trailer bunks, don't forget your bow hook when towing. Heard years ago of a person losing his boat when it slid so easily off the bunks. That had to hurt. ER

Mike, I would'nt wax a ski but definitly the running surface on the boat. I pick up 3 M.P.H. after I wax the bottom, or drop 300 R.P.M. to run the same speed. I also dock mine for the summer and makes cleaning easier every 5 or so weeks. A neighbor uses Super Slick on his supra and gets better fuel mileage also.
