    Swim Platform brackets

    Hey all,
here's another of those "fix it during the off-season" questions. I have a 99 PAN, and the swim platform brackets are the "old" style removable brackets which utilize a small dia. "hitch" pin to hold the platform to the transom bracket.
Ours has become a little bit loose, so at idle the thing is boucing around making some noise.
    1. Is there room to drill a larger diameter hole so that a larger hitch pin can be used?

    2. It appears as though the female part of the bracket is a little worn out, maybe also the bracket that bolts onto the transom as well, any advice? Can the platform bracket be purchased separately from the transom bracket?

    3. Any source for SS hitch pins?

    thanks,
    Jack

    RE: Swim Platform brackets

Did you try to close the pins so that its tight again..... (bend, hammer the pin closed) and wont rattle in the hole... on mine looks like you might be able to drill it up slightly but you will probably have trouble finding a pin much larger than the original... ss pins shoud be available at a real hwd stores or a marine supply... a place in utah makes very similar brackets... not sure if they make them for cc or not... always go to the dealer for parts too...
