Has anybody tried this oil bath conversion kit for their ramlin drum brake hubs... Kodiak oil bath lube kit available at http://www.trailerpartsdepot.com.. sure would be nice to get away from the bearing repack each year... Im considering it but wary due to some inner axle seal surface wear over the years... I am slinging grease pretty good now... guess some wear sleeves would be nice if I could find em..

RE: Oil hub conversion on old ramlin trailers w/ drum brakes
I've got the same trailer. I asked my local dealer about this conversion and he said that I'd have to replace the axle to get new spindles and then I'd have to get the hubs...to much work and $$ for me. Like you I'm also slinging grease pretty bad.

RE: Oil hub conversion on old ramlin trailers w/ drum brakes
If I can find some wear sleeves to fit, I think I will try this conversion kit using my existing hubs...
...
Too bad correctcraft/ramlin wont give it up and just deal with owners....

Ramlin seems to be having a hard time figuring out some people move from ramlin territority to DHM-ville and need parts... Ramlin kinda gives my PNW dealer grief for being out of their region... I just want parts to keep it rolling...2001 PAN 1995 ramlin single axle

RE: Oil hub conversion on old ramlin trailers w/ drum brakes
I have found that a kit called Spindo seal and it looks like kit #11 will fit my 95 ramlin... I am going to order it and give it a try... has the ss wear sleaves that I plan to seal in place... check ufpnet.com or iboats.com... should help with grease slinging in the brake... and I think Im gonna try an oil hub conversion if these fit...2001 PAN 1995 ramlin single axle
