Lead time on interior parts from CC?

Hi all, I'm looking for your experience when ordering interior parts for your CC. I ordered a bow filler cushion for our 99 PAN, and after the dealer forgot to order it (another story!), it took over 6 months to get the part. Is this what one should expect when ordering parts from CC?

    thanks,
    Jack

Sounds like something else going on here Jack. It can be very slow getting parts, but six months seems a little long. I'm betting it had more to do with your dealers failure to order than it did with availablity.

      Bkh,
after I ordered the part at the dealer, and PRE-paid for it the 2nd weekend in Feb., I called the dealer to check on it, and they fessed up in April that the part hadn't been ordered, but I still didn't get the part until the end of September! Just in time for the season. Maybe the dealer lied all the way through the summer saying he couldn't understand why it was taking so long, but I followed up with them every 3 weeks, so if he didn't order it, then that dealer is lamer than I thought.

Have you ordered some interior parts from your dealer? Do you recall the lead time?

      thanks,
      Jack

I have not been required to order. Everthing I've bought has been in stock.

Who knows what happened. Could be legit, on backorder, or something like that.

I need to order the driver seat cushion skin and was told it would take 3-4 weeks to get it in. That was thru Mid Ohio Nautiques, since they don't handle Nautiques anymore I need to find another source. Maybe the new dealer Vandevere. Will talk to them at the Cleve. boat show.

I heard this past summer that Mwcc no longer went to Cc for interior parts. Check if they have templates. I believe it is 260-833-2226. ER

Thanks EarlyRiser. But being VanDevere is new to C.C. they may want to try to please old owners with great service?

Jack, ER has the right number for MWCC, call and ask for Bruce or Dennis in parts, they should be able to help you out! They should be able to tell you lead times too.

If you order interior parts (upholstery) for your CC, The regional warehouse does not probably have them in stock. They order from Orlando, and in the middle of production of boats, the interior people have to go find the templates, and orginal materials, or a good subsitute to make the parts. If the order is in late spring, or early summer, the factory is already busy making the next model years boats. So, even if every thing goes right, You order from the local dealer, the local dealer oreders from the Regional warehouse, the warehouse orders from the factory, and maybe the factory orders from raw material suppliers, before they can even start making your part. Then the parts when they are made, are shipped back through the same channels. Order parts early, very early.

What do skins run for say a single back seat cover. Newer back seats that are 3 pieces?

I recently bought two skins for my rear seats on a 01 SAN from MidWest Correct Craft. I believe I worked with Bruce who was very easy to work with. It took about 3 weeks to get them in.

From what I understand they did not go through the Factory for this though. They have a local upholsty shop that has the Templates that does all the stitching.

My boat is set up in what I believe is called Tournament Seating so the left and right are mirror images of eachother. Each side for the skins was about $100 dollars.

                        Hope this helps.

I was at Southeast Correct Craft this week. I am looking for seat skins for a 1998 SN. They no longer sell them for older models. They put me in touch with a local Upholstery company who said they could get a close match to original. Kind of disappointing really
