Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone could help???

We have a 2004 210 SANTE. Unfortunatly the alternator has died. The alternator is painted black so I can't get any make or model numbers of it.

I live in Australia and the Auto Sparky's here didn't recognise the make or model of alternator. Can anyone tell anything about the alternator?

5.7 L engine

Alternator:

Make??

Capacity??

Model Numbers??

If anyone could help out it would be much appreciated.

Go to pleasurecraft.com and download the manual for your boat. It has all the pcm part numbers. If anything you can call pcm and find out or take it out and take it to the parts store to match. As long as the plugs match you should be fine. Good luck with the search, hope this helps

I'm in Australia as well (Sydney) and have had some issues finding parts. Generally I will source a part from my local dealer, but I also find www.miamiskinautiques.com has a good website for locating parts for your engine graphically. I've ordered from them and parts were delivered in less than a week. I've also just learned that Lewis boats is an importer for PCM parts, although I have not had any dealings with them. Might be worth a call as they are in Aus.

You might want to consider going with a higher amp alternator. Stock on the older boats is 51 amps. Not sure about the newer boats. I had a shop build me a 95 amp for under $200.

Make sure that whatever you use is built for MARINE use. Marine alternators have a special spark-catching screen built in.

Lewis Boats do keep some PCM spares in stock, and are pretty good to deal with for parts on other makes.

It's a 60 amp alternator. If you are running any significant lighting or stereo systems you might want to consider the upgrade to a 100 amp alternator, hsmunoz put one on his 211 and posted info on here. You can order the stock or upgrade from White Lake Marine and get a planetnautique members discount. They too have a very good website and good parts inventory.

The PN members discount from White Lake Marine would be nice, but unfortunately it states they don't ship outside of the US. A bummer for us in Australia. Unless of course this is incorrect.. anyone outside the US gotten a discount from them?
