I am starting a recarpeting projet on my 99 SN and now ready to remove pylon. I have loosened both U-bolts, I can rock pylon fairly easily port-starboard, but it is too l tight to lift out. What am I missing?
I just removed the pylon from my supersport and had the same problem.
First try to remove the top 2, which should go fairly easy. That will give you enough room to remove the bottom one. I took me quite some time moving it around, but finally it worked.
The bottom U-Bolt is smaller than the other two and lock into the pylon at the bottom, the bottom bolt will have to come out completly and loosen the top 2 bolts
