    Advise on a 4 blade

I`m looking for some advise on what people are using I`ve got a 94snob and want to ditch the 3 blade and get a 4 blade what pitch should I get? I do everything from boarding to bare footing so I don`t want to compromise top end speed.

I have both the original OJ 4 blade non cnc'd, and a new acme cnc'd 4 blade. I cant tell much difference in either. Hole shot and top end is great with both. I think the Non Cnc'd blade is a little stronger and wont be damaged from smaller debris. My Perfect pass settings in the slalom course were all in tolerance with either prop.

I have no information as far as wake boarding performance goes.

Max at Skier to Skier has great prices on OJ's and Delta prop has great prices on Acme.

Go with the Acme 4 blade, I wouldn't even consider an OJ. There have been several reviews on different websites and the Acme always comes out on top. There's a reason that CC and Malibu exclusively use Acme. Check out SkiDim.com

Any particular reason you want to go with a 4-blade? Supposedly the new Acme 3-blades outperform their 4-blades. We saw a huge improvement with the Acme 422 4-blade over the previous OJ 4-blade on our '92 (same hull as yours). That was before the new 3-blades were available. I plan to go with an Acme 3-blade (612) on my '90.

The Acme three blade is great. But, don't ding it. Once you do, it's trash. They are much harder to fix and balance than the CNC 4 blade. I guess its more difficult to balance a three blade than a four blade.

3 blade gives roomy acces for fixing,
4 blade is extreme tight for fixing,
            balancing is equal

What I stated above came directly from Acme. So whatever its worth...

Also, the '94 hull has a cavitation problem in left turns. The 4 blade will significantly reduce the cavitation, much more so than the 3 blade. Also, as far as I'm aware CC still uses the 4 blade on the 196, there much be a good reason.

Talk to someone at ACME, or call SkiDim. I bought the #422, I have the GT-40. SkiDim was very knowledgeable and helpful
