Depends on what your looking for. We installed both last year and used them alot! Heater is great for cool days. Shower is a must when you ski in water below 50. You can use the shower to soften up your bindings, heat up your feet before you get in or fill up your wetsuit if you want. When you get out it is by far the quickest way to warm up. Once you are warmed up just dry off and put on your many layers of clothes. We were on the water on Nov. 23 here in MN.(Air and Water temp were 38) Less than 36 hours later the lake was iced over! If I had to choose it would be a tough choice, but it would probably be the shower.

When comparing prices... Heaters and showers are quite a bit more expensive now. HeaterCraft raised their prices last year. If you want to take the time, ebay has nice deals sometimes.
