Keeping rain out of the cover

I cut some plastic milk carton tops off and made little tents to tape around the tower over the hole where they go through the cover. It occurred to me that most of the water is running down the tower to get inside the cover; has anyone come up with a good way to keep the water out? I thought about just tying a piece of tubing around the tower legs leaving a piece hanging off the cover so that the water would run down it?

What tower do you have? When I first bought my 2004 SANTE the cover leaked at the tower due to a poor (but typical) design. At the suggestion of my dealer I had some "boots" made that tied tight around the tower legs. I think I have some pics around that I took for another member. I'll look.

I have been experiencing the same problem being that my boat is exposed to the harsh weather when it sits on the lift..was going to treat myself this year to a new coversports cover for XMas.

        Little $$ though.

Do you have any additional photos, the one posted is very small.

It's a FCT2, the front legs fit pretty close but there is a bigger gap on the back made worse because I made a pvc pipe deal to arch the cover up for water shed. I had not thought about canvas boots; I like that.
