    Starter motor pcm 2012 5.7 400 hours

    Guys

Went to start boat and heard click from starter motor boat won't start but all lights on ignition ok boat does not turn over

    Battery is full charge

Do I need to replace starter motor or could it be a starter relay

    Tx

It worked perfectly up to now? Are batteries fresh? Is the relay a match to other relay's? I can't remember. You could take starter out and take in to any auto shop to test. Or you could research how to bypass relay while still installed in boat.

Check connections to both battery terminals. Remove, clean and tighten them. Check connection negative engine block. Check connection positive to starter. Hook a volt meter to the starter connection and ground, check voltage to starter when trying to start. Many times it is a loose or poor connection somewhere.
