PP paddle wheel placement for '01 SAN

Can anybody give me a proven place to mount the perfect pass paddle wheel for an '01 SAN. I'm looking at ~8" in front of the factory ballast intake on the port side of the boat. That gives me access under the seat, thru the transmission inspection hatch. Perfect pass said that would be fine, I just wanted to here from somebody who's done it before I drill a hole. Thanks!

Thanks for the thread. So did you end up 3" in front of the ballast pickup or 8" in front? I don't think I can access the paddle wheel from the inside unless I'm 8" in front (thru the Transmisssion hatch). Thanks again for the info!! Mike

I can access the paddle wheel thru the engine bay. It's slightly behind the transmission, not between the transmission and the fuel tank. I could look for some pictures but I'm not sure if I still got them.
