I'm sure you could do something DIY with a few hose clamps/exhaust tubing for much less than the $300+ they're asking. I have some doubts about improved low end torque they're claiming but, they can't disprove it either way. Haven't seen too many boats on a dyno before.

I would not want to lose 2mph on the top end. And, the quieter you make the exhaust, the more you hear that darn gear whine.

With too much flow you loose torque, with not enough you loose torque. I'd like to see some charts from that company.

Tony, There is a silver nautique with it installed in this thread:
                http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/m...83/272032.html

You might try emailing the guy for his opinion. From what I've read/heard the main benefit is reduced transom emissions....for wakesurfing. I agree though....love the sound of the uncorked 351w.

                  Tony,

Why do you want the fresh air? From what I know the fresh air was designed for low CO levels wake surfing. If that’s what you looking for it sounds like the only solution.

However, if you plan on reducing the engine noise, there are other ways to go like lining the doghouse with a noise retardant. Personally I like the sound of that 351 hummin, as do the rest of the guys chimmin in. And it's not just because the noise. You see my ears are the only diagnostic tool I got while running. From my experience running an older motor it’s a nice feeling knowing how she sounds.

                  Hope this helps,

                  Derby
