How to remove passenger seat on 1999 air nautique or similar year

Hi everyone, Can you help me with a quick problem. I have a 1999 pro air nautique that I'm in the process of removing the seats to put in new carpet and re upholster. I looked at the passenger seat last night that is is held on by hydraulic lifts, however I'm not sure how to take these things off? They look like they slide off, or there is a special way to remove, but I'm not sure how to do it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and I appreciate the advice.

They just pop off. The gas shock just presses on to the ball end.

I use a small flat screwdriver to lift or remove the metal band that captures the ball in the end of the "shock." Really easy to do, you'll have more trouble removing the hinge screws!

Wow. You guys werent kidding. That was easy. Thanks for the help again miljack. Im on my way to restoring this 1999 pro air nautique. I just love this boat. Btw. Next area im taking on is the front bow wrap around padding. Any advice? Does it come off just like the sides? I reached my arm inside there, but i didnt fit very well. Might have to find a way to contort my body if they are the same.

        Thanks again.

The bow seat backs are also bolted in, best way I found it to crawl as far under the love seat as you can reach, then take the front bow step/battery cover off, and reach up front to tget the last couple. On the driver's side, you can take off the kick panel and then reach up under the bow cushion on that side. There are also a couple of clips, can't remember exactly where, but it will be readily apparent when you try to remove the back rest. Get a buddy to help as the back rest is all one piece and can be fragile.

I can tell you exactly where all the fasteners are. For the "bow hoop" as I call it, there are THREE screws you need to find. In the very front at the bottom of the cushion you should see a small metal tab with a screw in it. Take that one out.

The next two are on the opposite ends. Crawl under the driver's side with a flashlight and look at the fiberglass wall the cushion sits against. You're looking for a stainless steel screw with a washer. Take that one out. Same thing on the other side. Once these three screws are out, the "hoop" will lift right out. It's sitting on a couple of tab hooks.
