my boat is riveted together lol

so i pulled off my rub rail today to clean up the rope and plastic only to find that my boat was built out of two pieces. turns out that the top deck is riveted to the top of the hull.

are the newer nautiques like that?

I do not think Correct Craft uses rivets on the hull and deck joint. On a tour a couple of years ago it was (not sure of the order) sealant, screws every 12", then rub rail screws between those. So, screws about every 4-6". Anyone else know differently?

They are NOT riveted, they are screwed. The top deck is sealed and then screwed to the hull and then the rubrail is screwed through both the deck and hull.
