So I'm really interested in a 2013 Ski Nautique 200, and it has the linc 2.0 system in it. I like everything about the deal, but the linc system makes me nervous. What happens if you get caught out in a crazy rain storm that soaks everything? We are public water boaters, and can be 20 miles away from our ramp/trailer and have to deal with the occasional nasty rain shower. There are times the entire boat is soaked, no matter how much we try to protect everything, it happens. We also rent a houseboat and lake cabin a couple times a year, and our boat is tied up, but maybe not covered and the rain hits without much warning, and everything is wet. The analog gauges dry out and all is well.....but what about the linc display?
Anyone else have similar experiences? I really like this 200, and I'm comfortable with the deal, but I have no experience with this much technology on my boat. Everything that I have read and the few people I have spoken with really like it...but none of them are public lake folks. So please share with me your good and bad experiences of real world usage of the linc 2.0 and how it has held up so far.
